With 13 production sites and a well-established distribution network, URSA is present throughout the countries of Western and Eastern Europe - from Lisbon to Vladivostok, from Stockholm to Milan. with the broad know-how of its human team and proven performance of its products, URSA brings a reason to trust a better tomorrow is possible.URSA Poland located in Dąbrowa Górnicza is seeking for the following position:Purchasing ManagerResponsibilities:• Manage the Purchasing function and sourcing & procurement activities in 2 plants of OU CE: Dąbrowa Górnicza (Poland) and Salgotarjan (Hungary);• Review and assess all existing procedures and activities in the area of procurement and purchasing in the companies within CE region;• Implement the existing purchase procedures, aligning them with business processes according to the Group Purchase Policy and the internal audit recommendations;• Ensure the homogenization and standardization of all these processes within OU CE plants; Help identifying opportunities for cost savings related with the purchasing function (standardization and rationalization, aggregation of purchases, processes optimization, etc.);• Implement the convenient sourcing strategy for all procured commodities and services; • Implement procurement best practices for all commodities and services;• Optimize the procurement processes by using SAP MM;• Implement the supplier and offers evaluation throught Negotiation Table process;• Prepare the periodic reports for the Central Purchase Department;• Participate in the major investment buying activities within the OU CE;• Carry on the function of the Lead buyer reporting to Central Purchasing;Existing Organisation:• Reports directly to Finance & Controlling Manager of Operating Unit Central East;• Reports functionally to Purchasing Director URSA Insulation;• Direct reports: 1 Purchaser in Poland, 1 Purchaser in Hungary;Education:• University degree;Languages:• Good English (written and spoken), as well as good working knowledge of Microsoft applications is a must; Other requirements:• Readiness to travel extensively;Personality:• Strong personality; self-starter capable to think and work without daily supervision;Professional experience (required):• Minimum 2 years in purchasing function in a multi-site and multi-national environment; • Experience with high-value, high-volume purchasing across a range of services and commodities;• Knowledge of legal environment related to purchasing contracts and framework agreements;• Proven successes in developing and implementing cost saving initiatives;• Knowledge of SAP MM;• Experience in managing a purchase department would be an asset;Skills:• Effective communication skills; ability to build and maintain strong relations with other departments, as well as between all the purchase departments of the Division and the Central Purchase Department; • Commercial astute and negotiation skills, with proven experience in the field in similar business or industrial companies;• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with understanding of relevant cost drivers;• Excellent written communication skills;• Appropriate professional qualifications will be an advantage;Until 20.10.2008 we look forward for your application (English and Polish) at the following address:rekrutacja@uralita.com
